Finally found a SUPER affordable entryway bench/coat rack and set it up to surprise my partner while he was out of town. He wasn’t nearly as GIDDY as I was. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Very narrow entryway, help?
Im looking to add a little folding bench to my narrow-ish entryway, any suggestions for a spring (or something) that would keep it in the folded position? (pic of potential bench linked)
Help me find an entryway bench!!

You all were so helpful last time I’m back for more advice ☺️
We have a very narrow hallway as our entryway. We have tried to minimize everything to reduce clutter (these wall mounted shoe racks as fantastic, we use most for shoes and one compartment for hats and gloves).
Our tile floor is busy so we opted for all white walls and ceiling.
Is there anything you recommend we add to the blank wall when you enter? (Picture #5 and #6 from angle when you first enter). Is it better to leave it blank?
-Is there anything different we should do with the other part of the hallway (pictures #2 and #3)? The 2 frames we have now are quite generic, I meant to have them as a place saver but don’t know what kind of art would look nice with everything going on. The last picture shows the frosted glass doors that we have had to close permanently due to how we configured the room behind it.
-Any other recommendations?
Thanks!
So it would be something like this

Im thinking some sort of piston or whatever it is called could go on the underside and keep it closed when not in use. It would need to be strong enough to close it, but also not too hard to open with by grabbing the front of the seat part and pulling down
Any suggestions?
Thanks
