Hard drive not installed. It quit while I was looking at it and there seems to be no easy repair. What can you share?

So the other day I ran a diagnostic on my Precision 5540 laptop to check the battery, however as soon I started running the test, it gave me a message stating that the hard drive is not installed with error code 0155. However the computer boots up just fine, I'm typing the message on it right now. I would have never known unless I ran that diagnostic.
However I ran support assist once the computer was loaded and it says everything is fine, I downloaded seagates hard drive program as well and it says its fine. I updated the bios as well, however I still get the message when I run a diagnostic. Has anyone run into this?
Two month old computer, I am about tired of this. Been getting this error a lot recently seemingly out of nowhere. I don't know if it's the way the hard drive is seated or just that it's shitty, but it passes all diagnostics and I'll be doing work or something then BOOM my computer freezes, and I get this message.
This is really only a semi-common issue, but I haven't seen any definitive ideas on what I could do to fix it, as all my drivers are updated as well as the BIOS. If any of you have found a fix to this issue I'd love to hear it.
Edit: Error is 2000-0155, apologies.
I have a Dell xps 9500 that has been freezing and occasionally the laptop will shut down and start beeping loudly. The only way to unfreeze it is to perform a hard power reset.
So far I’ve tried updating bios, resetting bios to default settings and reinstalling windows. I’ve also ran diagnostics on the hard drive in windows but the test says the hard drive is working.
Any suggestions on how I should proceed from here? The laptop is no longer under warranty and I need it for school. Thanks
