Not sure I have a suggestion for that big of an ink blob! What paper and ink are you using? If you're printing heavily saturated images, you might want to switch to a heavier paper (at least 125g) and make sure you're not using the highest quality print selection. I watched a video on how to switch out the inks in a ET-2720 and another on resolving a different issue with a ET-2760 and sort of combined what I learned. June 16, 2020 - It took several print head alignments and cleaning to clear it up but, it eventually came out without a blob. I also changed the printing preferences to "high quality" so that the ink saturates the paper more. ... I don't have that particular epson so I don't know if this will work but I have to manually clean my print heads sometimes with some paper.

There is no real difference between the 2, you won't go any higher than 300DPI when sublimating since that is typically the most the paper can handle before the ink will be running off the page. If you are comparing printers, go by printing size rather than resolution. Bigger prints with bigger presses means you can do bigger products.
