I am trying to setup this Epson ET-2760 printer on my eero network but it doesn’t seem to detect the network on the printer. I have disabled 5 GHz but still doesn’t work. Is this an eero issue or epson (my suspect) issue?
I am asking here first because epson doesn’t have a chat support and I have no service :(
EDIT: Ok this turned out to be a silly one. My network had an ‘ in its name and that was the issue. The dumb epson printer was too stupid to understand. After all day of support with epson they couldn’t figure it out. James the legendary Eero support guy was able to troubleshoot this in like 20 minutes.
Hi all. My Epson ET-2760 says that it is connected but is then not printing.
Here are the conditions:
Printer is showing connected on the actual printer screen menu. The report of its own connectivity shows that it is also connected to my home network with a good connection and everything is a Pass
My internet provider app (Breezeline) also shows that the printer it connected to the home wifi. The printer shows up a connected device.
The Printer is available to select without any issues. It doesnt show offline or any thing like that.
The printer prints and works great when hard wired to my computer.
No device from my house can actually print. My computer, iphone, wife's computer, and her iphone all show the printer as selectable, but the print job never goes through.
When I select print (say from excel), the document looks like it went to the printer with the standard small little window that pops up for a quick second that says it went to the printer. But on the Printer Que menu (on my computer), the print job shows up and the status it "Printing". The actual printer never moves or makes a noise or changes screens. Then after a minute the print que shows "Error-Printing"
I have tried:
Updating the firmware - its up-to-date
Updating the software
Unpluging the printer
Factory resetting the printer
Resetting the printers network settings
Ensuring the printer que is deleted - from all the jobs that ended up "Error-Printing"
Re selecting the home wifi on the printer multiple times and after each power cycle
Restarting my computer (and iphone)
Unplugging the house router and letting it sit, then plugging it back in
I'm at my wits end here. The printer is clearly on the network, but its as if no packets of information are getting through.
Any thoughts?
