I would really like a resource of, ideally a large and varied selection of, essays at a secondary school and higher level. Does anyone know where I can find such a resource?
It can be really hard for kids to picture what a good essay looks like and one of the greatest things that they can do to learn to write an essay is just to read essays. Of course teaching essay structure etc is very useful but it's strange how we know that kids need to read extensively in order to learn creative writing but we often expect them to produce essays with minimal examples to learn from.
