I have a garden border that runs along the front of the property and I would like it to have some structure in winter. I have had trouble finding the right shrub because of several issues. First the property runs parallel to a state highway with no road shoulders. This means that salt gets dumped on the plants in winter by the state highway trucks salting the road.
