I played plummer in the movie and it's so rewarding to see that most everyone seemed to enjoy it, but I want to point out that there is definitely an after the credits scene

So this movie was definitely one of my favorites of 2016 and one of the few movies I've seen twice in theaters. Yet almost everybody I know hasn't seen it or even heard of it. I'm bummed it isn't more popular and getting the attention I think it deserves. What do you think? Or am I completely wrong and been living under a rock?

LOVED Everybody Wants Some. It's my new, go-to "happy" movie. I once saw someone describe Richard Linklater as a "Shakespeare of the mundane," meaning that basically, his movies don't follow typical dramatic formulas, they just try and capture life on screen--and life isn't always that exciting. You can see this in Boyhood for sure, but it's very clear to me in Everybody Wants Some. There's no conflict in the movie at all. It's just a bunch of guys moving in together, becoming friends, and hanging out. It's something that almost everyone in their life has experienced at some point. I think the movie only covers what, three or four days of time? It ends leaving you with an infinite amount of possibilities for how the characters' lives will play out, and it's just so optimistic and fun that I love it. There's just little truths of how people interact that Linklater is able to capture really well. Some things I can't even necessarily put a finger on, but he is just really good at creating authentic characters and authentic moments.

You an absolutely 1000% not wrong! This movie was hilarious and probably one of my favorites from last year. I spent the next month after I saw it telling everyone I know to see it.

It’s like a Porkies movie where the debauchery is occasionally punctured by Jake or the team’s seasoned veteran and deceptively deep thinker Finnegan (Glen Powell) stopping to offer a quasi-sociological observation about their behavior and hazy long-term future. In interviews, Linklater has admitted that if he’d gotten around to it sooner Everybody Wants Some would have been a direct sequel to Dazed and Confused.
