I am in the dilemma where I am a younger individual coming into a family business. Because of the privacy of certain information, desks need to face away from the office doors when people walk in so they can't see your monitors. I want to get a standing desk, but it also feels really awkward to have a standing desk not up against a wall because your legs and everything under the desk is visible to everyone sitting in your office. More traditional desks are solid and not open at the bottom and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a standing desk that has a solid non-open bottom that would emulate the look of a more traditional desk until you went to raise the top.
Just moved into a new house and I finally have a large, spacious office. I've had a standing desk for the past 4 years and I've lowered it to a seated position only a handful of times.
I'd like to have a permanent standing desk that actually looks good in this room. I would prefer if the back section of the desk was closed off so that cabling can't be seen from the other side since I'd preferably like to be able to set the desk in the middle of the room. I already have very tidy cabling but I'd prefer if none of it was visible at all.
For example, I'd love if there was something like this but at standing desk height:

Feel free to make any suggestions.
