What is the best quality-to-price ratio extra-long-staple, single-ply percale sheet set?
If you’re willing to spend around $750, the best sheet you can buy are these simply because it’s the best quality cotton and they’re underpriced until the fall, when they raise prices (probably close to doubling them) so now is the best time to buy these: https://www.tmasc.ca/products/st-geneve-flora-giza-45-egyptian-cotton-sheets They come in a Jacquard or a sateen but they’re made out of Giza 45 and they’re single ply so they’re very thin to help with breathability, which is typically the reason shy people pick percale, but very strong due to the fiber used. Keep in mind the link I sent is Canadian pricing, you want to buy those in Canada because for some reason the American market is up charging that brand. If you wanted percale just because you like the feeling of percale and that’s all you’ll buy, you’ll probably want a more entry level percale sheet from Sferra, Frette, St. Geneve, Schlossberg or matouk. Malouf or Peacock Alley have some ranges towards the top of their catalog that may have exactly what you’re looking for in terms of price but keep in mind these are much lower brands than the 5 I mentioned above. Basically it’s lower quality brand but higher end range vs higher quality brand but more entry level range. True ELS is absolutely worth it regardless of what anyone says, but you’ll want to stay away from the billions of brands pretending to sell quality. The 7 brands I just mentioned all offer quality, some at better prices than others, and you’ll never need to worry that you picked the wrong company. Hope you find something you’re looking for! There are low-range, mid-range, and higher-range prices/brands that are usually available and depending on how much you want to spend usually correlates with the quality of the sheets. I'm curious if anyone knows some good brands that sell quality long staple cotton Percale weave sheets that are made to last a lifetime. I prefer small businesses over mass-market stuff. I was interested in Authenticity50 but I saw some reviews about rips.
I'm specifying percale weave b/c I read they get better and softer with time. Sateen is nice at first but gets worse over time.
Edit: I ended up going with a Canadian brand called St Geneve known for their high quality down and linens. I found a good sale and splurged. Got a sheet set (extra-long staple cotton percale), down duvet and down pillow for ~$1,200. Would have been 2k+ without the sale. I got them online from Hydeaway Shop. The owner Tyler helped me make all my choices and was super helpful and even gave me an extra discount on the sheet set!

Savoir sheets. Yes, they’re expensive, but the quality and durability are second to none. I’ve been sleeping on a set of their percale linens for going on 10 years and they’ve only gotten better over time. They’re a bit of an investment, but I do believe they can last a lifetime with proper care.
