facade
/fəˈsɑːd/
noun
- The face of a building, especially the front.
- (figuratively) A deceptive outward appearance.
Is it pronounced as /fəˈsɜːd/ or /fah-se-d/. I tried searching it and the results were /fəˈsaːd/ and /fəˈsɑːd/, but my IPA is not that good so I don't know how you pronounce ɑ or a.
FACADE, how to correctly pronounce this word
Hey guys, wtsup... So... I read in a dictionary that the correct way to say the word FACADE is like this: Fuh-Sahd...
My first impression when I read this word was to say fa-ca-de (don't making the c sound like S)
So okay I could assume what I discovered through the dictionary but then in my workplace some workmates of mine work with webdesign and there is a design method in English called FACADE but all of them pronounce fah-said....
So I wanted to correct them at first, but then I thought of asking you guys, is there other scenario where you pronounce the word FACADE like those guys are saying fah-said?

How to pronounce façade?
Why can't people correctly pronounce the word "facade"?
Because the letter ç doesn't exist in English.
More on reddit.comAccording to Google ngrams, "facade" is far more popular than "façade". So I would just write "facade" unless you want to emphasize the "Frenchness" for stylistic or marketing reasons.
The cedilla (ç) beneath the letter ‘c’ is used in French to show that it is to be pronounced as /s/ and not as /k/. Most French people will know that anyway, so it is as otiose in French as it certainly is in English. Since facade is now an English word as much as it is a French one, there’s no need to follow French practice.
