Face recognition Libraries for a FAST and OPTIMIZED digital attendance system
You have 2 problems Your face detection extraction algorithm need to be super fast. Depending on your camera you will need to pick the best face detection model. Than extract the face from the image, crop and align it. ( this is more complex than people realize). Than you need step 2. 2. Comparing the 'target face' to the database face. Use SFace and onnx models, you can get 30fps even on the CPU. SFACE is the face recognition model, and Onnx is the NN architecture. You'll need a vector DB storage system too. It's no easy task and you will need to build a system to get it all working in real time. I run FaceMRI, a face recognition system, so that's how I know. But my tool is not used for attendance so it won't help you. Just letting you know my background More on reddit.com

what's the most used image processing algorithm in face recognition (not using any kind of AI)?
so I was wondering if anyone could guide me to one of these old references or scientific papers or a GitHub repo for guidance and for implementing my programs. Your professor should have been your first pick here. More on reddit.com

September 1, 2021 - The second script written does all the clever stuff insofar as it will take the directory of images with unknown faces, compare them to the known faces images and then ‘draw’ on the original image a square around the face with the name of the individual identified, if indeed it identifies a face, otherwise it will draw a square around the face with ‘Unknown Person’ in place of the name. import face_recognition import os from PIL import Image, ImageDraw unknown_faces = os.listdir("../frec/unknown/") Bob_image = face_recognition.load_image_file("../frec/known/Bob.jpeg") Bob_encoding = fa
