Stoneware, bakeware, and accessories rounded out the selection, which was heavy on 9-inch skillets (the “deal of the day” at $87.50), tea kettles, and small Dutch ovens. Even though smaller sizes were more plentiful, you could buy the largest pan Le Creuset makes, a 15.5 quart oval Dutch oven nicknamed “the Goose”. At 40% off the $750 retail price, it was a good deal, if not a fantastic one.

January 13, 2023 - For me personally I don’t want or need every item in my kitchen to be le creuset. The aesthetic of a lot of their utensils and stuff just doesn’t do it for me. I always pop in when I’m at the outlet mall for other shopping, just to see what they have, and always end up leaving empty handed. Hubby was gonna buy me a skillet there recently but he the outlet doesn’t carry any of the colors I actually want to collect… so we passed. ... The only thing worse than enameled cast iron is factory seconds enameled cast iron.

You can't tell from the piece, without a visible flaw, but for a present I would think you need a box, which all LC DOs come in, so check if the box says "second." Sometimes the outlet "seconds" come in a box that says second, not on a sticker but on the box itself.

They have a greater variety of choices than the outlets and typically a bit better price than the outlets. Also, if you can get a mystery box, the mystery box itself is worth the entry fee and the $50. I would not recommend flying in if you don't have a VIP ticket for the mystery box if you live anywhere close to an outlet.

For those who have gone to one of these, what unique or hard to find items did you see there? For example, discontinued pot styles like the saucier, for example, or colors not usually available? I got tickets to the San A event and am starting to think about my budget. I'm highly suspicious of things like "mystery boxes". Just seems to scammy. "mystery boxes" have a supposed value of $300 Only available for purchase by VIP ticket holders ($35/ticket) Tickets for "mystery boxes" cost an additional $50 (and it looks like you need to purchase a minimum of three of them?) Dropping $185 for "collectible cookware mystery boxes" of things I already own or won't use just doesn't seem reasonable to me. I'd rather just take that money and get something I'm likely to use, especially if that money is being spent on something that is a "Tik Tok craze". Just real-world loot boxes.
