Have the people running Hunan Chinese Gourmet, formerly of Fair Oaks Mall, reopened another restaurant somewhere else in the area?
One of my favorite restaurants before the pandemic was Hunan Chinese Gourmet in Fair Oaks Mall.
My family would eat there when we were at the mall, natch, but also when we were anywhere near the mall. We always parked by that entrance so we could grab lunch or dinner there on the way out. It was a wonderful tradition!
It was cheap, good, and fast. Sometimes they had specials written only in a Chinese on a sheet of paper behind the counter. (The red pepper dish is one of the hottest things I'd ever eaten -- and it was glorious!)
Alas, it closed and made us sad.
I'd like to know if the folks running it reopened or relocated in the area. I would love to visit, if so.
(I had a good experience with this when I discovered that Mr. Cheng, formerly of of Cheng's in Sterling had relocated to Cheng's Asia House in Chantilly. So good!)
Does anyone know?

Apparently the owners decided to retire and closed the shop.
