I would just plan to go where interest you most and then look locally there. I know some great places in NJ / NYC but probably not worth flying across the country to lol

New Jersey thrifting is top notch really as someone from NJ. I scored thrifting in Connecticut big time. If you ever come to NYC, NJ isn't far and there is no sales tax here on clothing and shoes :)
