Did you add the commander control plugin into the plugins directory? Its not easily findable now, but I have the file and can send it to you if needed. Once thats in there, you should restart the program and it should find the commander pro/core. Also, what is corsairlink? If its another piece of software separate from FanControl, it may be interfering with FanControl's ability to see/control the fans and such. So, I found that FanControl was not able to report or control the speed of my fans connected via the Corsair Commander PRO - not a great surprise but it irked me, and getting rid of iCUE is always nice ;) Long story short I've thrown a plugin together that allows FanControl to do just that!

I've installed the CorsairLink and it detected my commander core as well as the fans connected to it, but I can only control the pump itself, and not the fans. Is there anything that I need to do to get the fans to be controllable? Their RPM is detected in the "speed" section.

Posted this to the GitHub page as well, but cross posting here in case someone here has experienced this as well.

Hey guys. I have a commander XT with 10 fans running. This software wasn’t able to pick up any fan as it stated 0 RPM.

I just built my pc and ended up getting a one month subscription for signal RGB, but would rather figure this out. I saw a thread showing a fix with a plugin, but I wasn’t able to get it working.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Well you’ll have to be more precise, as you probably failed to do one of those things. The plugin should appear in the plugin section in FanControl settings page.

anyone have experience with running fan control (the program) with corsair link fans how does it work if you have all fans linked together? or does it work at all? i really like fan control so i thought id ask before buying same with lian li fans and their software.

Fan Control uses the motherboard fan headers, while most Corsair items plug into an independent hub which then plugs into a USB port. I don't think it would work offhand.

There is a plugin for fan control for icue LINK items. However, not all items are available currently.

Can I use my Corsair Commander Pro with temperature input and it's PWM fan controls in SignalRGB Pro? I want to have my fans ramp up/down via a temperature sensor that is plugged into the Corsair device to control the fans that are also plugged into the Commander Pro.

Is there another way to have the corsair software not tie up the RGB controls so that I can use Signal for the RGB and the Corsair software for the fans/temp sensor?

Devs want to eventually add commander pro temp probes as a source for in-app cooling control so it's definitely planned. iCUE will most likely interfere with lighting if ran alongside SignalRGB no matter what, but there's a piece of FOSS called FanControl which apparently has a plugin that makes Commander Pro compatible with it thus negating the need for iCUE.

I'm running a Commander pro, but without that temp sensor. I can verify that Signal will work great controlling fans using all the other temp sensors.

I am trying to install the Fancontrol.Corsairlink plugin for Fan Control, as my fans are controlled via Commander Pro.

I downloaded the latest release, and looked at the readme file. My issues is that the readme asked me to copy the FanControl.CorsairLink.dll to the plugins directory, but that file is not in the .zip file that I downloaded: Fancontrol.Corsairlink-main.zip

After looking at the contents of the .zip, it looks like maybe the .dll is created from the contents, but I have no idea how that happens.

What Iam I missing here? Thanks for any insight!!

Hello,

I've been using the Corsair Link plugin (https://github.com/EvanMulawski/FanControl.CorsairLink) to control my fans/read temp probes for a few days now. Unfortunately all commander pro outputs/inputs get doubled and sometimes disappear. Renaming them also only works until restarting fancontrol.

corsair link shown twice (even tho only one commander pro is connected)

Is anyone also using an (old, none icue-link version) commander pro with fancontrol?

Nevermind, I just found the issue. Do not use "install plugin" for installing the Corsair Link plugin. It seems to just copy all zip content which causes both the NET4.8 and the NET8.0 version to be loaded, which obviously causes issues. I just copied the correct dll to the plugins folder, unblocked it manually and all works nice now on beta 2. Not deleting this as someone may find it helpful in the future :^)
