Forever 21 and other similar brands who produce clothing in LA are able to keep prices low because they use a number of middlemen/independent factories that underpay their workers. I've ordered dozens of times from FN starting in 2020. As recently as 3/18 and arrived 3/21. I've never had a problem with receiving my order and I've never had a problem returning items either (I've always received my store credit and been able to reuse it. I'm in San Diego, CA. More on reddit.com

I read this article by buzzfeed, where it says 80% of their clothes are made in LA. Which makes no sense because the clothes are very cheap, and I expect labour in US to cost more money than in other countries with poor labour laws. But then I can't imagine FashionNova being able to just... lie either.
People who own fashion nova, where are the clothes made in according to their label? I am just curious now.
Edit: Thank you to everyone who replies. A lot of people mentions underpaid workers in LA who probably make the Fashion Nova clothes. It is sad, and a little shocking, that even countries like US have these problems. Someone mentioned the documentary Made in LA, which I would check out. I used to think that a 'made in USA' label would indicate that the workers and the environment were treated well in the making of the clothes, and it is sad that this may not be the case.
