I am so frustrated by the constantly shortening amount of time to drop packages at FedEx for them to go out same day. It used to be 7pm then it was 6pm then it was 5pm and now it’s freaking 4pm. With all the advances in logistics and automation, why has the cutoff time for shipments to go out same day become increasingly earlier in the day?
This is so difficult on many businesses that have same day late afternoon orders. This only happened and got much worse in the last 5 years.

It’s the extremely frustrating for customers. I haven’t seen the deadline rollbacks you have. But every day I pick up at a local FedEx office store. The store closes at 7pm and I can take everything starting at 5pm. So customers assume 7 is the cutoff time. FedEx could post the 5pm deadline information prominently, but they don’t. One time I was just about to leave at about 6:30 when someone drove up with something to ship. She asked me to wait and I explained I couldn’t. “But the store closes at 7,” she said. She wasn’t happy and asked my name. I politely said I don’t give my name out, then left.
