These are called IPs “internalized parcels” They come from distribution centers around the nation, via FedEx, and are delivered to the store, then processed by the store into batches that are sent out with spark I know traditional shipping comes from stores, and that if a store nilpicks it (marks it as “not in location” meaning basically the shopper couldn't find it) it goes to another, close by store, which has a delivery area that envelopes your address. I IMAGINE, though I'm not sure, that a shipping item that has been nilpicked by all the stores close enough to you, is then batched as an IP. Nilpick doesn't only happen when the store doesnt have it, it could be sitting in the backroom or on the sales floor without a location, or with the wrong location in the system, and shoppers either can't find it or don't really try. How is it profitable? It's probably less about profit and more about market share. Walmart has been in a turf war with Amazon for many years, and has lost a lot of ground to Amazon. Last fiscal year, Amazon took more of the share of shipping orders away from Walmart, a larger portion of that market share. They may be bypassing stores completely for “same day shipping” orders in order to guarantee the fast delivery, which could be slowed down by the Nilpick>new store>nilpick process. They may be eating the cost in order to offer faster delivery, in order to win over more customers. They almost certainly have a deal with fedex (since they are exclusively delivered through them) making that cost insignificant compared to the value of repeat business. However, I'm not well versed in IPs or walmart’s accounting, and am working off a lot of extrapolation. I am sure about traditional Walmart shipping and the market share battle with Amazon. I have to send documents and I'd like to use FedEx Express Saver but I don't have a flat FedEx envelope, nor do I have a FedEx account. The only FedEx locations near me are drop boxes or stores that offer ground and express services but don't look like they have supplies. Can someone tell me where I can get the flat FedEx envelope to use to send these documents. They are time sensitive, so even if I could order them by mail without an account, I don't have time to wait to receive them, especially with how the USPS is operating right now.
I apologize if this is online somewhere but I cannot find it. All I've found is something that requires a FedEx account and something else that offers free legal size paper envelopes. Thank you.

It doesn’t have to be a FedEx envelope. A manila envelope (8.5 x 14, or 8.5 x 11) is fine. Anything that can hold a document works, honestly. I’ve actually used UPS envelopes for FedEx and vice versa. Any envelope works.

There should be an option for you to request supply when you schedule the pickup. Driver will bring the envelope to you. Make sure you have your label and tape ready. The tape is in case driver gives you an envelope without a label pouch. Also, secure the envelope edge with tape. The tape comes with the envelope is sketchy every now and then.
