FedEx Canada - Is there a way to tell if a shipment is FedEx Ground or FedEx Express?
The fact it's a battery doesn't mean it's Ground automatically When it comes to knowing with the tracking number, I really don't know but when you try to track it with the website maybe it can give you some more details about it If it flies, it's express though

Some Ground buildings are delivering tomorrow.
They said the delay was due to weather but I watched USPS, FedEx Express, Amazon, and UPS deliver to my apartment
It's not about the weather where you are, it's about the weather everywhere in between where the package is coming from and where you are. It doesn't matter if your weather is good if the truck got stuck on a closed highway from the snowstorm and never made it to your town in time.

Fedex Ground economy (Formerly smart post) 12 digit tracking number Unable to track via usps tracking?
I'm in Canada. Is there a way to tell from the tracking number if a shipment is arriving FedEx Ground or FedEx Express? The item I'm receiving includes a rechargeable battery. Would it automatically be Ground? There is a place in my small town that holds FedEx Ground packages that couldn't be delivered, but they specifically do not hold FedEx Express packages. Thanks for any information you can provide.

On the package tracking page there are two tabs, “Travel History” and “Shipment Facts”. Click on Shipment Facts and you’ll see either ground or express listed under Service.
I reported this to the business the uses FedEx Ground to ship my order along with photos from the FedEx website that shows FedEx does not do FedEx Ground delivery on December 25th. Then I provided the photo of the tracking section of the official FedEx app saying it will arrive on that date. They said the delay was due to weather but I watched USPS, FedEx Express, Amazon, and UPS deliver to my apartment building over the course of around eight hours of me sitting in my car waiting for the FedEx Ground truck to arrive in the time frame estimate provided (I have to sign for the package).
So then I call customer support and the agent tells me the tracking says it will arrive tomorrow. Then I check the official FedEx website that says Ground shipments are not delivered on December 25th. So there's a lot of conflicting internal FedEx information right now regarding FedEx Ground and I'm wondering who I report this to so that it can be resolved?
Extra Details: at the time my package was out for delivery and it was warm and raining in Seattle with no icy or snowy roads between here and the facility in Auburn it was leaving from. So please keep that fact in mind when replying. There was zero weather danger involved for FedEx just delivering from Auburn to the Seattle a few short miles away with the same no risk road conditions to addresses on their routes. It’d be simple, if it’s in Seattle take it out of the truck and deliver it. If it’s in an area with reported ice on the roads then don’t go there and don’t deliver it. I feel like maybe they need to replace the regional operations manager based off their inability to implement the most simple of solutions to situations where there isn’t a problem but FedEx is making one of out of literally nothing. I’m not expecting FedEx to endanger their drivers. But I am expecting that if there is no icy roads or snow, other bad weather, or any hazardous conditions for FedEx Ground drivers between here and the package hub it’s out for delivery from that my package will arrive. That should not be an unrealistic expectation on a date that they are expected to be in service for. Furthermore, UPS Ground was delivering in Seattle the same day and their operations team had no issues letting their drivers bring their customers packages.
Again, I don’t think drivers should be expected to risk their safety to delivery my package. But when there is no hazardous condition between where the package is at and where I’m at I expect to receive it.

The bottom line is this: I think of WWJD today and I forgive you FedEx Ground for delaying my package. Do I want to? No. Is it the right thing for me to do? Yes.
