I Hate FedEx with every cell in my body. Unforunatly if you shop online, often they are the only shipping method or worse, they steal your package without notice and charge you half of the cost of the item you purchased. They are 100% scamming us, and its legal. Like what Lora said, you are always hit with duties when dealing internationally with FedEx. I just spent $20 for FedEx International Connect Plus (Only shipping method) and then recieved an automated phone call saying I owe $29. Together, thats half of the cost of the items purchased. I used shippo to purchase shipping to France, and it offered me $17 shipping using this service! It says there’s tracking and everything. Do customers pay more in customs or anything like that?

Customers that are subject to customs regularly would pay customs fees regardless of the service used to send their package, as it’s based on the value of the contents. I do know that UPS, DHL, and FedEx typically do tack on extra handling charges for international shipments. Pirate Ship has a page about it (brokerage fees with UPS) I would ask or look for Shippo support pages for anything regarding brokerage fees.

Guys so I'm getting a few items on Trippnyc shipping from the US to South Korea, and I heard that FedEx International Connect Plus was just the absolute worst. Is it really that bad? Also, do any of you guys know the shipping time it would take, along with your personal recommendation for all these options?

Its a good service, we use it ~10 times a day. Its fast and affordable. Customs and Duties cannot be avoided (unless dropping commercial invoice values really low). The other benefit of Fedex International Connect Plus is brokerage fees are included (this is a big one for us). USPS is another good international option - and can often have a better time getting around customs and duty fees (pending value of shipment) however takes much longer.

This is by far the weirdest shipping service I've ever used.
A few weeks ago I ordered an item from the Us to be shipped to Canada via FedEx International Connect.
The tracking number I was provided with doesn't work with on any FedEx service except fictracking.fedex.com. Frustratingly the package would basically sit at a location for several days before any updates happen.
I called customer support today because the package will not arrive in time so I need FedEx to hold it. The agent straight up told me that my tracking number couldn't possibly be correct since it contains letters in it.
When I told him that I was using FedEx international connect, he said he DIDN'T KNOW what it was!
What do I do now? How do I contact FedEx to ask them to hold my package for me?

Fedex just take it across the border. From there it's transfered to a local carrier. Try that number on Canada post.

Any idea if any of these have specific shipping estimates? Or if DHL is better than FedEx in general? Etc?

It depends on where you are located. For Israel, probably FedEx Priority. DHL Express would be fast, too. However, I think customers have reported slightly quicker deliveries with FedEx International Priority. FedEx International Connect Plus is a new option we integrated that is fantastic! It's almost as fast as the other express services, but much cheaper.

From my experience (shipping to europe) DHL Express is the best bang for your buck solution - arriving in 2-4 days - Fedex international economy is a rip off and takes equally as long as Standard worldwide (from my experience). Fedex international Express is equal to DHL express. Fedex international connect plus: no idea.
