I am selling some stuff on ebay which are large packages and someone asked me to ship to Germany. I looked up shipping costs on other sites and everything was $1000, which was to be expected. I looked on Fedex and the last minute prices were $100. Is this real? I can't believe its that cheap. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance!
Hi folks,
We're moving from UK to Japan later in October and we've got some boxes if personal belongings to ship. I noted the last minute rate rates which are considerably less expense than standard, but I understand the trade offs of service features. Anyone care to share their experience with the last minute rate?
I was wondering if anyone has used Last Minute rates.
I am currently being quoted for $750 door to door for a deferred air freight package from the US to UK that is 48 x 42 x 60in and weights 600 pounds. I already have customs sorted so I am not concerned about any additional costs, but this seems to good to be true as the the price without the last minute rate is $8k.
I haven't seen anyone confirm if they've used this before. Is this legit?
Hi all,
I'm trying to ship a 42kg dishwasher from the UK to Japan and Fedex Freight came up as the cheapest option - their last minute deals are incredibly cheap. I realise there's more paperwork to be done but am I missing anything? It's a personal effects/use shipment from my UK address to my Japanese one - not direct from the seller. It's factory boxed - does it need to be on a pallet or anything? Lastly - the Fedex system asks for a HS code (for possible import duty I assume) and an invoice - is this necessary for personal items? It seems important yet no purchase is taking place.
I did chat with Fedex online and they said they'd call me back which I'm waiting for now.
Essentially what I'm asking is is this OK for personal use as it seems it's more of a business thing and I don't want to get hit with other charges (other than the expected sales tax) along the way.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: FedEx called me back and took me through the process. No pallet required, an invoice that says 'no sale', marked 'personal effects', HS code useful but not required for personal.
I’m looking at an international move soon and I have some books and heavier stuff that I would like to ship, but not enough for a full pallet/shipping container. I had a look at sending e containers via fedex and I got prices ranging from $4000 down to $300 for “last minute rates”. Does anyone have experience using these last minute rates? Is it legit? What are the risks?
I don't have any experience using the Fedex International Economy Last Minute Rate. I can either have my factory ship tomorrow (before Lunar New Year) or after Feb 10th. My 9 cartons are 16.6KG a piece 65x52x35CM. The last minute rate for tomorrow to the US is $1869 ($8.82/KG). Does this rate seem good or should I expect it to drop after Lunar New Year?
Thank you!
Is the International Economy option part of FedEx Express or FedEx Ground?
