What in the name of heck is going on? My package is here in my city and was supposed to be delivered Friday. Then Saturday. Then Sunday. And now it’s saying by end of Day Tuesday. It’s literally RIGHT HERE in my city. And whenever I call FedEx it literally WILL NOT allow me to talk to an actual human being. The online chat isn’t even usable. I can’t believe I’m saying this but FedEx is actually worse than USPS. And USPS is TERRIBLE!
Edit: I just tried calling my local FedEx offices and it STILL WONT LET ME TALK TO A FLESH AND BLOOD PERSON. Is this company even real??
Edit 2: I finally spoke to a FedEx rep and, in addition to continuously refusing to let me speak to a supervisor and threatening to end the call, they told me that I had to call the company that shipped my package bc they couldn’t do anything about it. So I called the shipper (the online company I originally ordered from) and they agreed to reship my package with rush shipping at no extra cost. So hopefully this second one makes it and this thread can have a happy ending.
FedEx International Connect (FIC) is the standard low-cost international e-commerce shipping service from FedEx. Here are all the other FedEx international shipping services.
My parcel has been stuck in NEWART since the 22nd (7 days). It uses FIC shipping service. I called customer support (France), which didn't know anything about FIC. They kept asking me about a 9 to 12 numerical tracking number, which I didn't have because FIC uses a 20 alphabetical & numerical tracking number. The FIC number didn't work with any of their tracking tools.
FIC uses a different tracking page than the default service, since their numbers aren't the same format. I gave them the official tracking page link (fictracking.fedex.com), which was blocked by their VPN.
After 30 minutes, the customer support agent managed to access the website and track my shipment (using her personnal phone and navigator to bypass the VPN). I then asked about the NEWART facility (if anything's wrong with it), which they told me they didn't receive any delay warnings problems about it.
I later learned that the FIC service only collects the parcels, then handles them to another company. That is why the tracking number and page are different from standard FedEx serfices.
The main issues here are:
FedEx customer support (France) is not aware their own international services.
The official FedEx International Connect tracking page is blocked in their own office.
My parcel is still stuck in NEWART.
