Your question is not at all stupid. I upvoted it.
The fedex documentation is horrible and doesn't mention how to use their services while testing and after moving to production. Their support is worse.
While I was rambling in the internet, I found a page mentioning the tracking number 123456789012 as a test number. Use it with your test credentials (key, password, account number and meter number), while you're setting your service path to https://wsbeta.fedex.com:443/web-services/track, and the request will return a valid response that you can build on.
Does this look like a real tracking number?

Question about Fedex Tracking Formula for a Field
Hello everyone,
A guy sold me something online last night, but I don't trust him. He gave me a tracking number. When I put it in the Fedex website, it doesn't show any info.
Here is the tracking number: 33556788999 (I left out the last digit for privacy reasons)

Canadian Postal Service: Canadian Postal Service Tracking Information Page
UPS: Begins with 1Z
If it's UPS, Fedex or USPS, you can send the number into Google and get the type from the Google result.
Airborne is now DHL.
Tried many variations to trying to get this right and can't seem to get it to work.
I tried the info straight from Salesforce and found here and you cannot even save because of syntax error.
I have tried this variation where the Tracking number is stored in a field called Fedex Tracking Number
HYPERLINK("http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?ascend_header=1&clienttype=dotcom&cntry_code=us&language=english&tracknumbers= "&Fedex_Tracking_Number__c,"Track")When clicking the link, it resolved to Tracking Your Shipment or Packages | FedEx and if I look at the URL, it looks like it is adding an % in from of the tracking number and that seems to break it.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
