There is a vibration in masculine voices that is often described as "gravelly". It is not something that voice changing software knows how to add or remove. It leads to masculine voices that are too soft (not much gravel in an AFAB voice) and to feminine voices that are robotic (too much gravel in an AMAB voice). There are techniques that you can learn to add or remove those qualities from your own voice. Once you do that, the pitch shift sounds more realistic. It's less about pitch and more about delivery. A woman's voice can have the same fundamental tone as a man's but sound completely different. Listen to female voices and try to emulate them. Also, do whatever you can to get at least one voice actress. It will be infinitely better. More on reddit.com

I'll explain myself. I do need voices from both sex for a project that I would prefer keeping it secret for now. But, I have trouble finding a good way to go from my mâle voice to female.

Hey, just a disclaimer I'm not actually trans but I felt there would be experience here to help me with this
I need a couple of lines said by a woman in my project but I'm struggling to find a natural at least for the moment free program to morph a male to female voice
I've ended up on Altered Studio which seems pretty good, but there's still some uncanniness in the voice after it's morphed
Does anyone have tips on tuning or on a different program?
