I just read an interview with the woman who plays Fenn and apparently instead of Geralt it will be Istredd inquiring about Ciri. There will be no interaction between Codringher and Fenn. This is such bullshit if you ask me...
Okay, so I recently decided to give the series another shot and try to enjoy it for what it is (quite far removed from the books imho). And I was pleasantly surprised when Fenn turned up. I think the whole dynamic between Codringher, Fenn and Istred is wonderful in those scenes (and actually very reminiscent of the books) but Liz Carr is something else - I love her delivery and her facial expressions! What a phenomenal performance. Who else suprised you with their performance in the series (be it good or bad)?
Perhaps there is something I don't remember well because I read the books time ago, if I'm wrong, I'm sincerily sorry for what I'm going to say because is going to be harsh, but if I don't remember bad, Fenn is a dwarf who is riding a car because he cant walk not having legs or having other discapacity, I don't remember exactly.
I don't want that my words feel like a personal attack, because Lauren is already getting a lot of sexist hate (I don't like season 2 but the things I am reading in other subereddits shouldent be permited), but I was reading an interview with her where she said she loves Codringher and Fenn because they remembered her The Muppets.
Sorry, but I don't understand how a person and a profesional writter reads about a dwarf with a discapacity and thinks in The Muppets and people is ok with that. It is disgusting and cruel and what can I say, I'm talking about Lauren because those were her words but I wouldent want such a mind behind any writting tool and I have seen only positive feedback because people is liking their show portrayal.
I let the link to the interview, but is the first time I put a link from the mobile so I hope it works: the interview
Sorry again for being harsh in the middle of this pandemónium, but it is something that is bothering me
Edit: I'm thinking that perhaps is a cultural difference because in my country The Muppets are not so popular so to think about them I have to especificaly want to caricaturizate someone, perhaps that's why I feel gross that somebody reads about a dwarf with discapacity and thinks about The Muppets
