Has anyone used this brand before? Mytol? Is it worth the few hundred? It seams to be good value compared to others. Or is fest tool the best?

Hello,
I’m looking to buy my first Festool product. I’m currently remodeling my kitchen and would like to remove the knockdown textured walls and ceilings.
I currently own an extractor and was looking for opinions on a planex. Would this be able to remove texture “dustless”?
My other alternative is applying 2-3 coats of drywall mud and then sanding.
I believe so, I’ve never used one, but from what I’ve seen they’re pretty insane. Seeing as dust collection is one of festools top priorities I can’t see it not working excellently.
The planex will eat any heavy texture you throw at it no problem, even painted popcorn ceilings. It's all about picking the right grit and being careful to not eat into the drywall paper base.
Im quoting 2000sqft of popcorn ceiling removal, oil prime, repair, and two coats of finish paint
Popcorn ceiling removal and finish quote help.
My parents have popcorn ceilings and finally getting around to removing them. About 10 years ago we painted the ceiling in the kitchen/living room a very bright white which helped hide the fact that they were popcorned lol. But now the tools to do the job are widely available so it’s time to get rid of the 90’s style.
Have any of you guys purchased the tool for this in the last few years, and if so what brand did you buy and how well did it work/hold up? Got like 2,000sqft to deal with and really don’t want it breaking or falling apart constantly.
There are so many different ones and the reviews for every one of them range from works great to dog water. Which is always the case I know but none of the ones on Amazon have more than a few hundred reviews most actually under 100. Usually when it’s several thousand it’s a bit easier to decipher a user issue vs a tool issue.
Let me know. Thanks in advance.
