Usually do a small number of options trades at Webull and TD, but most funds of mine are in Fidelity (roth ira, cash management account + debit card) so thought it would be easier for me to just do everything at Fidelity. The current UI isn't the best, but I'm looking forward to their new UI that is projected to be added later this year (hopefully?).
Webull requires $2000+ equity in an account approved for options trading if I want to trade 4-legged strategies like butterflies or condors.
TD doesn't seem to have set a fixed minimum amount required and lets me do any trade as long as I have enough in account to cover the maximum loss amount of the trade I'm trying to do - which usually is not that big anyways since my balls aren't made of steel.
What about Fidelity? Is there a minimum equity amount requirement for trading spreads and 4-legged strategies at Fidelity?
I tried purchasing a contract the other day and was told I couldn’t. Is there a reason for this and how do I get permission?
