August 27, 2021Is it possible to use Figma on a mobile device like a tablet?
I used to use figma on s6 lite for designing a year back - it works but there's a catch, you can't you any shortcuts. Even if you get an external bluetooth keyboard not all windows/mac keys will be there, plus deep selection of objects is difficult with stylus. More cons than pros. More on reddit.com

October 23, 2022[Student Question] Best practice when designing a mobile app considering there are so many different screen sizes.
We usually draw a line in the sand for what’s supported in terms of device age and design with the most common size in mind and keep in mind how it will look on the smallest supported device. Getting your hands on usage stats for things like the business web page can help make these decisions. That being said you also need to consider font scaling as well. WACG Resize Text (Level AA) dictates 200% as the scale at which you should be able to increase text without a loss of functionality. More on reddit.com

December 28, 2023What's your go-to when starting a mobile app design?
Depends what part of the design process I’m at. If I’m developing an identity, I’ll work the initial look and feel of the app alongside all the other collateral. If the identity has already been developed, then it’s a question of how well does it inform interactive elements. If I’m starting on just the “UX” of an app, I’ll be working on a whiteboard or large sketchpad to map out user journeys and flows. That’s assuming I’ve already done plenty of user research, or someone else has. At the very begging of a design, I stay away from plugins or templates because I want to feel free with as wide a solution space as possible. More on reddit.com

The app used to serve as a “mirror” application only, where it would only show the current file you’re working on.
This is the first update to the app for over one year. The changelog is below:

Added sharing, browsing, and viewing functionality for Figma files and prototypes

Navigate team and project folders

I'm looking into getting a Samsung tablet, firstly I was thinking about Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, but then thought - why the heck not get one with a stylus and use it for sketching? I have Wacom Cintiq, but sitting at the desk for long hours is tiresome, as you know, and I was wondering if graphics can get mobile. However Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 with a dedicated stylus is way, way more expensive and I don't want to throw away that cash.
Anyone designing on a mobile tablet device here? Is it usable? What are you doing? Would it be worth the money? I want to draw in Ps and do wireframes in Figma.

Dunno about android, but iPad has Figurative. Haven’t tried using it directly in the browser which might work since iPadOS uses desktop browser engine.
