Generally speaking when working on mobile designs, and the design isn't device specific, you want to ensure your design is responsive enough to handle the variances across mobile devices. So, if your design is going to end up as an installed app, say on Apple devices, you'd want to ensure your design looks and feels natural across all form factors. If you're designing for mobile web, you'd want to make sure your design is also accommodating the browser frame / extra UI added. Answer from najoes on reddit.com

Figma Newbie Seeks Best Practice for Creating Scrolling Home Page
47 years old here fren. Jumped right in when Figma was all free and autolayout did not exist. Figma does not offer that snap-scroll-to-item interaction. You can fake it, somewhat, using smart animations between frames that have the same identical components except the item focused, but it's non practical and you must scroll one item at the time. Figma provides scrollable items and simple transitions, but is not very good at animation in general. Hope that helps. Even if you did manage, so what then. It only helps a developer look 'how should it move' but dev would have to code it all from scratch anyway. More on reddit.com

r/FigmaDesign on Reddit: What mobile device size should I use to design a mobile app?
June 13, 2024 -
I use Figma to design my mobile app, and I ignorantly used my iPhone 11 Max screen size (414x896). The design looks good on my iPhone, but not so great on other smaller mobile phones.
What device should I use to design my app, so that it looks decent in most phones (android, iPhone or Samsung)?

These days 360 width is probably fine, but be mindful of the components looking good when going as low as 320. This will give you more breathing room on 360 too. I believe the iPhone SE (1st gen) was the last popular device to use the 320 width screen, and there are some people still using them.
