songs from SD card could be played only by browsing for them first and I had to pick certain track. It still is that way with the M3. It's because of the internal/SD split memory. Browsing via the built in buttons for 'album', 'artist', 'genre' etc. will only work with files on the internal memory. Even if your music is tagged properly it will only read the ID3 tags of the music on the internal memory.. everything else on the sd card has to be accessed through folder browsing. After it ended, I had to pick another one manually. That's not the case with the M3. You can use shuffle, repeat, standard etc. With the latest firware upgrade from Fiio you can even set the option for playback to go from playing music in one folder to the other. More on reddit.com

its ok. My biggest gripe is the UI is slightly laggy. Slightly tilted warm like the m3k but nothing to worry about. I wouldnt say far superior, rather there is a slight but noticable improvement in detail and separation when I was testing off the ath e70. Power wasnt enough to fully power harder to drive iems like the senfer dt6 pro. Otherwise it works as advertised. Personally if you want neutral I would be looking at the hidizs ap80. I prefer the touch buttons on the M3K so I feel the loss of ease of navigation is not worth the slight increase in fidelity. More on reddit.com

I just found one locally for $70 cad and bought it for $60 cad after some negotiation. I was not specifically looking for this model but I've always heard good things about Fiio, thought I should give it a go. It seems to be in perfect condition, with the box, got it from an older gentleman. He said he used it very little and now has a different DAP from Fiio. I like that it's similar to iPod Nano 7th gen, great to hold in the hand, nice size screen, good UI, and I think I have the option to use it as a DAC on my pc. Only missing feature is bluetooth support in my opinion. Did you found one? Why are you on the hunt for a m3 pro? Any specific reason?
