I'm not a user of fiio but I use shanling Linux based dap shanling m0 Pro based on my research during my time of purchase I came to know that the android daps have the audio circuit in place to bypass the sample issue so any music player that has a lossless music file will be capable of outputting without sample issue provided the app supports its music player like tidal apple music amazon HD music power amp neutron uapp musicolet and other have support but app like YouTube doesn't Hope this helps More on reddit.com

Since you're not an apple guy, what's the advantage of using an MP3 player over any android based phone? My galaxy has expandable storage, can use a million different apps to play FLAC, MP3, or any other format, and supports bluetooth and wifi for streaming from my plex server. Anyone still using Fiio M6 Yes. I got mine a year ago, and I wrote up a detailed write of it here . The short version is I love it. However, I don't use it for streaming. The Fiio M6 seems to fit this bill Based on your requirements, I don't think it will. So my question is, are any of you still using the M6? Has it gotten sluggish, buggy, or obsolete? Is the battery still holding up? Yes, I still use it. It has not gotten sluggish, buggy, or obsolete. I don't know what the actual battery life is, because I usually only run it for 2-3 hours at a time, and when it gets down to about 30%, I charge it. I've never had it die on me. It's certainly not as good as things like the Sony NW-A55 which has a 40+ hour battery, but it probably gets 8-10 hours on a charge, and that's enough for me. The problem is: can have Spotify but no other app From all accounts, the M6 is horrible at streaming. I don't use streaming, so it's not a problem for me. I have a huge (150GB or so) library of FLAC and 320Kb MP3 stuff that I listen to. And for that, the M6 is awesome. The audio qualify matches, or exceeds, DAPs that are twice the price. But people who've used it for streaming have nothing but complaints about it. While the M6 will technically stream, the CPU and chipset are low power, which is why the M6 was about Cdn$210 compared to the Sony NW-A105's $500. For local FLAC files, the M6 matches the Sony at half the price. But if you stream, especially if you use Tidal, the M6 has trouble keeping up. As someone who did use it for streaming said, should you want to run ANY streaming app on this one, be prepared for extreme delays and waits and lags .
