Hi folks,
Context:
-
I'm working on a project where I need to collect the location data of various places
-
I'm using ArcGIS online and in order to create a map layer (it gives me a lot features I need)
-
ArcGIS can only read a layer from a CSV file with long/lat coordinates
-
I'm using Google Maps for research purposes as it has the locations I need
Problem: I can't find the long/lat coordinates from a location that is already saved in Google Maps/known locations in Google Maps.
For example, if I search for Buckingham Palace sure I will get the location I want, but how do I find the long/lat from pop-up page when you click on that locations? Google's instructions were not precise enough for what I need as it assumes I want to just drop a pin randomly and get the coordinates of the pin. That's not correct, I need the coordinates of known locations.

I don't know the best way - but here is a way. Right click on Buck House - will give you the coordinates. Copy to clip board with LMB. (51.501510902042575, -0.14190073150108018). Paste the coords into the search - gives you the Longitude and Latitude. (51°30'05.5"N 0°08'30.8"W)
