On my iPhone, in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations, there is a Summary of 140 Records since Nov 19, 2023 until today (Jan 13, 2024). But only three items from yesterday (Jan 12, 2024) are showing in the bottom, and "Summary" can't be tapped on.
Fine. So internet tells me to go to my iMac and look at System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Location Services > (Click to unlock) > System Services/Details > Significant Locations/Details.
But when I go there, I only see one "Master" for my city, and it's dated 11/15/23, with one location in that (my Home) with 5 visits since October 28, 2023.
How do I see where I've been earlier than Jan 12? I only need to see where I've been since Jan 10, 2024. I would also like to download this information some way (although screen shot's would be acceptable).
Edited to add that I am not usually a Mac user, and don't really know my way around there, so please ELI5 for me lol!
EDIT WITH SOLUTION:
Documenting for anyone who needs this.
So, it turns out the info showing in my Mac was nothing related to my phone. Just where my Mac itself has been. Which makes sense - it's a desktop, so it's not going anywhere (and as I said, I don't really use it, and now you can see how infrequently I do lol).
As far as the iPhone, I guess you used to be able to see it, but not anymore without hacking. Here's the hack:
Settings > General > Manually set the Date and Time back to a previous date. Then you can see your locations via the above path.
(If your Set Automatically is grayed out, you may need
Setting > Privacy & Settings > Location Service > Toggle this off
Settings > Screen Time > Turn Off Screen Time)
It's not that great as you only see a couple of locations at a time, and need to manually change the date to different dates multiple times if you are not seeing the time period you want. But in a pinch, it will give you the info you need.
