Do you mean a ring of brick? Dude, just go to the lumber yard and get those angled retaining wall bricks. They lay down just like Legos. If you want something more natural, find a quarry near you. They'll be happy to get you set up with some stone, and if you're willing to put a $20 in the guy's hand he can probably point out the pile of cool chunks set aside.

Promontory Point has amazing fire pits overlooking the lake. Free/Public Once it’s warm, they go fast so plan to get their early and squat. Otherwise, Caldwell Woods all the way up north also has fire pits. Only two spots I can think of otherwise you can get a portable one and find a park with BBQ grills. Parks with grills will have metal trash bins so you can throw out hot coals and embers.
