How do you add a shortcut to the home page?
where are the pinned shortcuts on the home page stored? I haven't found them in about:config
How can I just simply customise my own homepage shortcuts?
The shortcuts on my homepage change randomly. How can I lock it so only the shortcuts I want are displayed and in the same order?

Hi - I have an iMac running Sonoma and Firefox 118.02. The directions I found for adding a shortcut to the front page don't seem to work. How does one do that in FF? Can't figure it out - any help would be greatly appreciated!
I was looking to set them in about config (via user.js) so I don't have to go through so many steps to remove them.
There's so many ways to have website shortcuts on the firefox homepage, and yet they're all just different silly auto-suggests (jump back in, recently saved, etc)
The closest I got was adding websites to the shortcuts, BUT you can't even change the order of the websites there or edit their urls.
Is there any way to just simply have my own customised list of website shortcuts??
You can disable it on Firefox's homepage with this.
Click a gear at the top right of the page:

You will see something like this:

Disable Shortcuts for prevent from showing all shortcuts including your recent pages, or only disable Recent activity to prevent from showing recent pages only. But if you keep Shortcuts on, some visited pages still be here.
You have to first delete from history, then pin it and then unpin it, and finally dismiss it. It is a long process but it works! (I just found out a few seconds ago.)
