1). It's competitive as fuck. They get an obscene amount of applicants, so they can be very selective in who they'll actually pick to interview. Even your bootcamp being partnered with them won't give you a leg up for this program, because of how popular it is. 2). Anecdotally, based on posts from people on various social media platforms, your best chance at getting an interview after the OA is to select Columbus, Ohio for your location. Because no one wants to move to Columbus, so it seems to get the least applicants compared to the other locations. Columbus is their largest office in the US, and I'm under the impression they're looking for the bulk of applicants to be placed there. 3). While in the past they've said you need to know either Python or Java, because they had a couple of teams on the program that used Python, this year several people involved with the program have already been saying on LinkedIn that you need to know Java to be able to be more competitive and if you don't already know it, you need to start learning it ASAP. So I'm not sure if they'll still be allowing the OA to be done in Python or not, but ideally you should be able to do it in Java. 4). Locations are subject to change up until the app goes live, and most likely will; I know last round they were saying Jersey City, NJ and Tampa, FL were two of the locations at the info sessions I attended, but when it went live a couple weeks later Jersey City was replaced with NYC and Tampa was completely removed and not replaced with anything else.
