Usage of "fix" meaning to prepare food?
This is very common in Southern dialects in the United States, though it's not really used outside of that region much. I have heard it used similarly in the rural West somewhat too (Southeast California), although I don't think it's as prevalent. More on reddit.com

The zookeeper is having an issue getting into the pen. Make sure there's no weird blocked routes in your zoo.

Buuuuut... There used to be a glitch that caused them to struggle if you built/moved/resized the pen over garbage and it would prohibit movement.
