Since the notation for lists in Desmos is [...], it thinks you’re trying to put a list in a list. If you want to preserve the integer of a number, such as [[2.5]]=2, use the floor function, which is just floor(x). Similarly, there is ceil(x) which rounds up and round(x) which rounds to the neeest integer. Hope this helps! More on reddit.com

I think I know why, desmos uses a font that combines f and l characters into one connected graphic, so when you go in between them, the f still renders as the fl character, but the l comes off, so it looks as if it appears twice
