So I just bought a new bed and I’m finally able to make my floofy dream cloud come true.
However, all the comforter/quilt/duvet inserts I’ve looked at look like sad, pathetic, gangly slices of depression and I would really love to be able to jump onto cotton candy and fucking sunshine!!
Does anyone know how I can achieve this? I don’t care about it being warm or what it’s made of I would just like it to be crazy fluffy and soft.

Follow anyone on insta who mainly posts about decor (then more will be suggested). Most of them link to Amazon and have a post about ‘how I achieve super fluffy bedding’. It’s usually a select set of Amazon inserts/quilt, and often stuffing 2 in one duvet cover.

My title probably covered it all. No matter how low I turn my AC, I wake up sweating. My current comforter and duvet aren't great and I think both have polyester.
I'm an animal lover and can't support down or feather but I really miss the super plush company store down comforters my best friend had when we were kids. Basically I'd like it as plush as possible but not hot.
Does anyone have something like this that they can recommend?

I have one called downcool off of Amazon it's really lightweight. If I put a duvet cover on it, it's too warm and have to sleep with a/c at 68. I gave up and just use it without a duvet cover and can sleep comfortably at 70-71. Edit: Soo why are people downvoting for me for sharing what bedding I use 😑

I have an alpaca wool insert. I also love big fluffy blankets, but was struggling with temperature regulation and couldn't get down because of allergies. I spent a LOT of time searching on here. I was originally resistant to the alternatives to down/down alternative (silk, wool), but i freaking LOVE the alpaca wool insert. It is SO breathable. I didn't realize what I was missing. I couldn't go back to synthetic fibers because they just trap heat like crazy. It is definitely not as fluffy as down, but it is much fluffier than silk, it has nice weight, and i have layered it with nice cotton blankets. Someone else mentioned linen covers - I also have this on the insert, and think it helps quite a bit with breathability also.

I too have been on the hunt for the absolute poofiest comforter I can find! I ended up going with the Fjallarnika as well, I haven't opened it up yet but it felt nice and puffy in the store, and it wasn't too expensive. Also, a trick that I learned somewhere on the internet is to size up the insert - so if you have a queen bed, get a king sized insert and stuff it into a queen sized cover for extra puff.

I really recommend IKEA’s comforters! I’ve had multiple over the years (because I move frequently, not because they wear out!) and they’re very durable and comfortable. I personally prefer the down inserts and they’re very fluffy (even the one I’ve had for well over a decade) and don’t leak many feathers at all (honestly like 1 feather every few months I feel). Depending on your climate & preferences, I think the “warm” is comfy year round!
