Moved into a new flat and my room has two singles instead of a double - so I'm shoving them together to make a double (or a super king according to Google).
The bed frame means there's a gap between them, and ideally I'd like to fill it. The gap fillers I seen on Amazon end up being pretty dear like £55, because of the depth, length and width of the gap. Any ideas on how I can do this in a super budget friendly way?

How do you connect a twin bed?
Can you put two twin mattresses together to make a king?
Can you put a mattress on top of another?
My wife and I (and our 70 pound shepherd/hound mix) have a 2013 Transit Connect that we spend long weekend trips in. We built out a slate system/pull out bed in the back, feel like the overall use of the space is pretty good (there are always improvements to be made, of course!) but still struggle with the mattress solution.
We have a solid memory foam mattress (trimmed to size) down on the bed when it is in "couch form" for driving/eating/hanging out and then two separate memory foam cushions (as the couch 'back') that we put down when the bed gets pulled out into sleep mode/full size. The issue, one of us always winds up with a pain in the hip or shoulder in the morning from the inevitable descent into the pit between the big mattress and the two smaller ones through the course of the night.
We have struggled with what the next best option might be. We need the convertible nature of the bed. It seems like a futon mattress or thick mattress topper may be too cumbersome or not stay up/be as foldable when in couch mode.
Anyone out there in van land figured out a solid solution to avoid the gap that rears its ugly head through the course of an evening trying to sleep???
So I've had a king size split bed for awhile now. I like the individual control, however, I don't like that the split in the middle really gets in the way of cuddling and activities. Was wondering if anyone has recommendations as to what they use to fill in the gap from time to time aside from just a blanket or pillow
I really wish sleepnumber had a perfect formed foam cutout I guess
