Why should I use Foobar?
Foobar is usually for people who care after their library. Long time collectors of various file formats, the desire for them to be neatly organized, etc.
Foobar2000 is a player that is very versatile, can play pretty much all formats, can look however you want, handles HUGE libraries effortlessly, supports replaygain, advanced metadata handling, scripted file operations, the possibilities are endless.
That said, it demands some work and knowledge about these technologies, depending on what you want to accomplish.
If you want to just listen to music, any player will do. If collecting, caring, and listening to music is a hobby, than, there's no better (to my knowledge) than foobar2000.
