I tried a Dell Venue 8 Windows 8.1 tablet with an ifi Micro iDSD, and I found that while it was easier to use as far as selecting music etc., I also found the sound to be better from my Samsung Galaxy S4 Android phone using UAPP. On the Dell, I tried foobar2000 and JRiver Media Center, and for some reason I just liked the sound better from the Android phone.

September 9, 2015 - Why don't you use ASIO of your DAC? Just instal ASIO DSP for Foober 2000 (foo_out_asio ver 2.1.2) and select it your default output for Foober. It is way better than WASAPI because it bypass windows audio processing. Click to expand... Nope.. I have been using the standard USB to Micro USB cable that come with mobiles... I think all ports on Laptop atleast are USB 2.0.. Yes i installed ASIO plugin too.. But don't find them under "Playback ->Output" in Foobar2000..
