I deleted my browser cookies by mistake, and now my CRA account is locked because I forgot the answer to the security question for my CRA account.
When you contact CRA to unlock the account, do they give you login access right away, or do you have to still answer the security question before logging in? Is there a way to change the security question over the phone?
I'm calling them tomorrow, but I just want to know in advance from people who may have had a similar experience. If they still require you to answer the same question before logging in, I'm planning to search further to find the answer I must have recorded somewhere.

I was able to get my account unlocked last week after several unsuccessful attempts to reach an agent. Finally after over 3 hours listening to Schumann's unbearable Chestnut Tree, bingo! I was asked several identity verification question: obviously name, date of birth, address on file, some past tax information which I didn't have, two previous addresses, full bank account information on file for auto-deposit, etc. But I was not asked to answer any of my security questions. Be ready and gather all possible information CRA might need to verify you are the right person.
