January 28, 2026 - You add the CMS List to your project, connect it to a collection, and design how a single item should look. Framer then automatically repeats that layout for all items in the collection. For example, in a FAQ section, you might use a FAQ card component inside the CMS List.

I have variants of a link list component that I'd like to include in CMS pages but whenever I try to add it to a CMS page the state is the same across all CMS pages. Any ideas?

It sounds like you're trying to use different variants of a component across multiple CMS pages, but the state is remaining consistent across all pages. This could be due to the way the component is set up. In Framer, you can create variants based on data. This means you can define variables for each CMS page (like content type or activity type), and use those variables to customize the layout and design of the page. This way, you can design and present content in a way that's specific to each page's objectives and activity types, making for a more engaging and dynamic experience. To do this, you would need to set up your link list component to have different variants based on the data from your CMS. Then, on each CMS page, you would use the appropriate variant of the component based on the data for that page. This should allow you to have different states of the component on different CMS pages. Remember, Framer is designed to make it easy to build professional production sites with fast loading times and SEO optimization, so using the built-in CMS features should help you achieve your goals more efficiently.

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe you can set which variant is used depending on the CMS entry. if there's a + on the CMS page on the variant element, start there. otherwise another workaround would be placing all your variant lists in an absolute position, so that they overlap each other, and convert a CMS field into a Boolean, but this time use the + next to Visible 👍

Hi,
When I created a component of my CMS collection list I stop seen this component section on preview. I want to set up a hover states for my component, which is a CMS collection list. I mean, I have no problems with setting up a hover state, but I stop seen it on preview for my website.
Have anyone faced with such thing?

Create the component you want to use Create its variables which will be set for the CMS values Add the hover state to the component Move this component into the 'Product Item' as shown Set the variables (eg. Price, Image) Add the link on the 'Product Item' (eg. products/:slug) (Avoid to add other link within the component, since this will cause warning issues)

Framer Academy: How to use Framer Components
Select the element on the canvas, then create a component from it by right-clicking and choosing Create Component or by pressing Option Command K on macOS or Control Alt K on Windows. Framer will open a dedicated component canvas where you can add variants like Hover or Press, and create additional variants like an inverted version.
