What's the best free audio book app?
Any Other Great (and Free) Audio Recording Apps?
Audacity is straight up the best of the best. So much so that there are professionals who use it for audio editing. Most content creators are self-taught and don't really know a whole lot about what good audio editing is. I wouldn't say the issue is with the audio software you're using. It might just be how your hardware is setup up, or maybe your post production could be better.

Never tried audio books, but I'd like to try it out. I work third shift with headphones for eight hours a day. My headphones have skip forward, backward, and play/pause functions.
I was hoping to find an app where the forward and backwards buttons skip a couple seconds instead of entire chapters.
Free would be preferred, but I'd be interested in paying if it provides good features.
Thanks in advance!
