I share an Executive membership with my mom (we live in the same household). Even if you only get $65 (price of Gold card) cashback a year, it’s paid for itself, but usually we get a couple hundred, so it’s totally worth it. You get more deals, too.

If you have friends and family who already have a membership, Costco has membership promotions where the existing and the new members get a bit of a bonus. I don't remember what time of the year those promos are though.

Is there like an income requirement or something else that I should know of? There is an income requirement. You need $70 to buy a one year membership. You also need about $100 for your first shop to buy groceries, and when you pay you will realize you ended up spending $490 by accident.

No income requirement at all. I just went into my local Costco and was like “i need a membership” and they took my photo, took my money, and set me loose in the warehouse. It was a glorious day. I love Costco. lol
