r/webdesign on Reddit: Best shopify page builder app?
August 2, 2024 -

Hey there, Experienced designer here working on my first shopify site. Hoping to get some recommendations on best page builder apps for visual design customization, design features, animation, etc.... something in the world similar to using squarespace as a visual editor.

Been looking at the following:
https://apps.shopify.com/gempages
https://apps.shopify.com/foxify-builder
https://getshogun.com/

Curious what one has the best bang for the buck, has the best ease of use, most customizable flexibility and features, easy to enter custom CSS or embed code... etc...

Shogun looks great but the price is a bit crazy compared to the others.
Which brings me to one last question.... these page editors, do they charge per site, or per shopify account?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Is there a Shopify page builder that will allow multiple pages, truly free? Looking for something like Elementor for WordPress.

New to the sub and new to customizing pages in Shopify. I’m at a loss with my online searches and would love to hear from actual Shopify users.

I recently started helping a gym owner with their website, hosted on Shopify. Started with some SEO and simple landing pages, and now I’d like to help build out their site with more content.

All my previous experience building websites is in WordPress. I have (limited) base level experience with html (I can edit, find errors/make corrections and adjustments but in no way do I write code.)

Side note - I looked into PageFly, very confusing language. “1 publishable slot” apparently means 3 pages - 1 home, 1 product and 1 regular? Their online support couldn’t answer, only sent me to tutorials which did not answer my questions.

r/shopify on Reddit: What's the best page builder for shopify?
February 6, 2021 -

We bought a premium Shopify template and are a bit disappointed that the internal standard pages have absolutely no options for building a nice page, we just have a basic WYSIWYG box... So, we'd like to add a page builder add-on to be able to customize content pages a bit more.

Any recommendations? Is there one that's generaly known to be the best?

Some things that would be nice:

  • optimized for good pagespeed / seo

  • plays nice with translations (we will likely use weglot)

  • easy to use, easy to make it work with our current template and make it look seamless (adjust style so that it matches our template)

  • flexible in terms of options/features/available modules

Anything else?

December 10, 2024 - Here's the app store link : https://apps.shopify.com/snap-blocks ... Hello! I would suggest PageFly. There’s a little bit of a learning curve to make sure everything is set for all device screen sizes but their support is excellent in case you have any questions or run into an issue.

r/shopify on Reddit: Free Multi-pages Page builders
September 2, 2024 -

Hey everyone,

New to Shopify here, I actually just got my first gig to build a store on Shopify and I’m looking for a free page builder that allows me to create at least 5-10 pages without hitting a paywall. Most free plans I’ve seen limit you to just one free page.

Does anyone know of a solid page builder that:

• Supports at least 5-10 pages for free

• Has a decent level of design flexibility

• Is easy to use (drag-and-drop preferred)

Would love to hear your recommendations! 🚀

r/shopify on Reddit: Are PageBuilders (PageFly, Gem PageBuilder, etc.) worth it?
May 5, 2025 -

Hi guys.

I want a unique and custom layout for my e-commerce, and the possibility to build custom pages such as landing pages, unique pages for products, seasonal pages, etc. I saw a few posts from people recommending paying for a dev instead of a monthly quote. For my needs i found page builders better and faster. I want a custom design for my product page, collections, landing page and what i said before.

I wanted to know which one would you use/recommend and why,

Thanks for your time.

r/shopify on Reddit: Page Builders VS Premium Theme with Dev
June 30, 2022 -

Hello! Wanted to hop on here and ask for some advice on the direction I should take my Shopify Store.

I have a large catalog store, at the moment only about 250 products but this is quickly growing. We sell all products within a certain industry and there are many categories and sub-categories this gets divided into. From my understanding, a large catalog store should focus on being easy to navigate and find products. Meaning cool features and things that are nice to look at are more of a distraction and should be limited. I could be wrong but this is what I'm noticing with larger successful stores. Plain and focused on the best way to get customers where they want to be.

I'm currently using a page-builder on a free theme as this was an easy way to get up and running and I have no coding experience. However, after some time I'm really feeling limited with how far I can take it. I understand they can be great once mastered however I'm not planning to be the main web designer and implementer of those designs for long. I feel like once I have a web designer and developer, our page builder will just be an unnecessary headache in between. On top of this I've read and heard things about page builders slowing down sites and being bad for SEO. I'm not sure how true this is but I've heard it a lot.

Do you guys think a premium shopify theme with a hired dev to make the customers features we'd like is better for the long term of a site like ours? If so, I'd appreciate any theme recommendations.

Or am I looking at this wrong and premium themes will actually limit be more than a page builder? Not sure how viable it is to keep using a page builder and hire a Shopify dev to work within that page builder. Also not sure of how many people I can find that are experts at designing with page builders.

Hi,

I've been using Elementor Pro for a few years and it's awesome. It provides so much functionality and the results are usually really good.

My employer wants me to build a Shopify store for them, and as I'm only experience with WooCommerce I wanted to know if you guys know the best page builder for Shopify which can give me the same level of flexibility as Elementor Pro?
