If you have some place to host the PDF on the web, you only need to create a QR with the URL. This could include e.g. your own website, Google Docs, various cloud storage services, file-sharing services, etc. etc. etc. Any free QR generator that can create arbitrary URL type QRs will do it. It’s quite convenient to share your documents with the help of QR codes. I’ve used it in my business documents a few times before. I haven’t tried ViralQR specifically, but many QR code generators allow PDF uploads or let you link directly to a hosted PDF url (like Google drive, Dropbox, website hosting etc). I did the first variant and it was very easy. Some good generators also let you customize your code which makes it look more professional for business use imo. More on reddit.com

Hey all,
I’m putting together a few physical flyers for local distribution and want to include a QR code that links directly to a downloadable PDF (brochure, pricing sheet, etc).
I’ve been using ME-QR lately — it does allow PDF QR generation for free and works fine for basic stuff. Only downside: the interface is a bit clunky and looks kinda outdated. Not a deal-breaker, but would love something a bit smoother.
Anyone have solid alternatives they’ve used? Ideally something that doesn’t force a subscription right away or watermark the code.
