You're getting scammed - QR codes don't expire. A QR code simply embeds information that you provide when you generate that the phone software decodes when it takes an image of it. What can expire is if, instead of your information, it contains a link back to a third party website which then redirects you to whatever you've set up with them. Is there a reason why any of the free QR code generators you can find via a Google search won't work for you? Some are completely free, others have paid plans - but I've never run into one that expires. I think I used QR Code Monkey last time.

In chrome, right click the page you want to link to and select “Create QR Code” It encodes the URL data directly, with no redirects that expire. And no services required.
