Is there a small freestanding propane heater with thermostat?
Mr. Heater makes small hunting blind heaters. Their smallest model is 3,800 BTU. The only issue is that they run off those 1lb. propane bottles so you'd have to buy them separately instead of using your regular bottle. They do make a 20lb tank-top system but it might be too much. Using a single burner has a max of 14K BTU. Even on low that would be too much I think. I've used them in hunting blinds in December up on the Canadian border and they're great. More on reddit.com

Venting will bring the moisture down but not get rid of it completely. However, a little moisture is a wonderful thing, it prevents the winter itchies and nosebleeds, you just don't want so much that it makes your gear sticky. More on reddit.com

July 28, 2013 - I am not a fan of IPI, I like standing pilots myself, even if they do consume 1-2 gallons a month to run. IPI's are gaining in popularity though. B vents were a nice replacement for a wood stove, normally powerful in BTU's and used the existing chimney, but does use room air and loses room air when not being used, I'd avoid them too if possible. Jotul, Quad, Napoleon are all good reliable heaters. Hopefully you have NG, its about 2.00/therm (100,000BTU) here in CT, propane is expensive at around 3.00/gal (92000BTU).
